Private liability company, L.J. Williams Marketing Co. Ltd is formed to acquire Louis Jay Williams and Company

1939

World War II. American base established in Trinidad in 1941 led L.J. Williams to import products that Americans might want, including American beer

1946

Due to war-related food shortages in the U.S., L.J. Williams organizes the first shipment of goods from Australia to Trinidad

1962

Movalite Limited is founded and a public liability company, L.J. Williams Marketing Company Limited, is formed to take over the private limited liability company
